In the name of Allah
The life
It is a right which Allah gave to some of His creatures and the top of them is the human and he favored him on the rest of His creatures, Allah said in the Holy Quran: We have honored the Children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea, and provided them with good things, and greatly favored them over many of those We created
According to my understanding, the life is Allah's gift to the human and Allah's gift must be sacred and it mustn't be disrespected in any case directly or indirectly. Yes, Allah ordained the re.tribution on the k.iller but we must understand this re.tribution in right way whereas Allah said
There is life for you in retribution, O people of understanding, so that you may refrain
The same verse is an evidence for the sanctity of life, if the k.iller wasn't p.unished, the k.illing would be permitted and the life will end, it means k.illing the ki.ller is continuation of life and glorifying it; in another meaning: ki.lling can’t be permitted just for continuation of life not the contrary. What happens in our age is enjoying in k.illing and varying in it with plea of w.ars or reducing the progeny or the like; let you know that ending the life is from prerogatives of the Giver of life (Allah) only or the one whom Allah authorizes him as His prophets, messengers and guardians and it can't enlarge this authority, Shia religious scientists suspended these laws due to fear of bl.ood and committing the forbidden matters and sh.edding the bl.ood without right. Yes, the life is from Allah authority and the Holy Quran stated to observe that whereas Allah said
Because of that We ordained ….and whoever saves a person, it is as if he saved the whole mankind
And forbade the k.illing an absolute forbiddance whereas He said
Whoever kills person – unless it is for murder or corruption on earth- it is as if he killed the whole mankind
We can conclude from this verse an important lesson in addition to sanctifying the life and glorifying it that is: continuation the life of any person is continuation the life of whole mankind, and ending it is ending the life of whole mankind as if all mankind enjoy one common life, there is no difference between child and old person or negro and white one or Arab and foreign or man and woman. Allah even gave the right of r.etribution to his heir but He put a specific system and Allah said
And do not k.ill the soul which Allah has made sacred, except in the course of justice. If someone is k.illed unjustly, We have given his heir certain authority. But he shouldn't be excessive in k.illing, for he will be supported
He shouldn't be excessive, it means: soul for soul not souls and if he be excessive then he will not be supported and determination (the authority) which is mentioned in this verse shouldn't be for anyone, the authority may mean (the absolute authority) not authority in general, and applying the laws of r.etribution is agreed in jurisprudence otherwise the concept of authority can be applied according to the desires and tendencies therefore we can add that k.illing with right for the one who deserves k.illing is after despair from guiding him and be righteous and it isn't for re.venge absolutely but it is a demand to guide him and save the mankind from his bad and null deeds, therefore, enjoying and varying in ki.lling and c.utting the heads in te.rroristic way are forbidden, the g.uilty is not an e.nemy to Allah to te.rrorize him but he is slave from Allah's slaves, and Allah didn't dismiss the g.uilty and disobedient from His mercy as narrated in hadiths and narrations but even in Quran's verses which refer to wideness of Allah's mercy Glory to Him, He forgives whoever He wills by His wide mercy, so if Allah forgives His slaves, so don't we be like Him? Be merciful with the others, the others will be merciful with you
Yes, life norm is forgiveness and mercy not k.illing and d.eath, so fear Allah and don't exceed the limits; Allah doesn't like the tran.sgressors
Muqtada Al-Sadr
