The third Koranic lecture for Mr. Ali Al-Zaidi
In the name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful
I trust in God the lord of all worlds
Blessings of Allah be upon Mohammed and on his family
I seek refuge with God from the cursed Satan
In the name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful
(Alif-Lam – Mim. Do people think that they will be left alone because they say, we believe and will not be tested. And we indeed tested those who were before them and Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of those) who are true, and Allah will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of those) who are liars. Or think those who do evil deeds that they can outstrip Us, evil is that which they judge!) True are the words of Allah the Most High the Great
Today we chose the first three verses from blessed Surah Al-Ankaboot (spider)
Alif – Lam – Mim as we mentioned previously, we had interpreted or gave general idea in the previous lessons when we explained Surah Al-Baqara (the cow). Let's begin to interpret the verse
Do people think that they will be left alone because they say, we believe and will not be tested
The general con**** for this blessed verse refers to the stage which Muslims passed in it that's the stage when they were in Mecca that we can say it synchronizes the Hijra to Al-Madina, there were many trials and riots which Muslims passed in it in this period
Actually they weren't in this period only but in all periods of Muslim society. There are trials and tests which are suitable for each stage, but we speak regarding that Muslims still in new age in their belongingness to new doctrine, we can say, that doesn't become strong and he isn't tested by numerous tests and trials. Muslims suffered from severe torture from many side, it was in the beginning of Al-Hijra or in Mecca society, siege, mockery and accusing them of lying, it means different matters, family pressure also, you see that the father pressures on his son for example. This general appearance made kind of provocation at Muslims, Allah wanted to show in these verses the merit of trials, tests and severe pressures didn't specialize in Muslim society onlybut these universal Sunna which Allah wanted through them to make the believer society integrates. The case that I claim the faith or the case that I say, I witness there is no God except Allah and I witness that Mohammed is His messenger, this case as if it doesn't come to the mind of Muslim that he saved himself from the trialsor made a wall for himself which the trials can't penetrate through it in each time but the one who wants to declare his Islam, he wants to belong to this sacred squad, he should walk in long way and bear different trials and tests through it
Of course when we speak in this side, it means as if we want to proceed a step that is the required from the believer? Or what is the required from the person who declared his Islam? We said it isn't by tongue only but it needs another dimension
What is this dimension which the faith of person completes through it? We can say as if there is integration, after you say the two witnesses, there is another integration, what is it? It is the intellectual integrity, mental integrity then there is another integrity the emotional integrity which wells from heart, then another stage, the stage of facing, enjoin to good and forbid the wrong, it means the practical stage, in directing what he sees that is right and it should be in society. These three bases which the person can make a way to walk in it his rest age, it means to enjoy a mature thought and mature emotional heart also you became experienced in speech, you have to choose a way to walk in it to serve the humanity, of course when we say the intellectual dimension
What is the intellectual dimension? The intellectual dimension means the doctrinal dimension, it could be the more dangerous stagewhich the believer should pay attention to it, regarding that the doctrine can be stroke in any time, as soon as the another party present a specific doubt or specific matter that shake your doctrine by it, he can plant the doubts at you, then you will be oscillatory
Now we pass in many intellectual deviations. You find atheistic side for example that sake the idea of taqleed, (by saying) there is no proof for taqleed for us. You find intellectual shaking about the case of Al-Imam Al-Mahdi between the negative and positive, between denier directly that’s there is no existence for Al-imam Al-Mahdi. The another side, No, he makes confirmations for this honorable title by characters or terms which are far from this pure title, they are intellectual complex bases especially when the Muslim or aware person withdrew or the one who occupies himself for the responsibility in this age from his duties or say in another picture. There is a picture appeared on the theater of life by the religious people unfortunately. I don't say all religious people but most of them. There are many ambiguities, and a bad picture was given through them or they conveyed the black picture about Al-Islam through their behaviors. The another dimension, we said the emotional dimension-heart- You can't imagine that it is easy to deal with it in this stage. If the stage of doctrine is a complex stage, also the stage of emotion is about to be more complex than the previous
What is it? How can you get rid from family dimension? Father, brother, mother, sister friend, tribe and neighbor, it means many relationships are existent in this side, it can make riot or trial for you then you compel to love what Allah hates and hate what Allah loves, and it is calamity, it needs wait, and the human or Muslim or believer asks himself
Where is he from this emotional dimension? Could he face the dimension in right way? It means when he wants to make right movement, and all his relatives are against this movement
What will he do, he will ask himself? Or did he live this suffering or this trial
The another dimension as we said, Enjoin to good and forbid the wrong . Of course this joins the three dimensions that, it is by the choice of person to the way that he walks in it to serve this blessed line (movement), the blessed Islamic line, sure this line isn't planted by flowers and it isn't for you only, but there are common matters, you want to walk in this way to achieve aims and other in hostile side walk in the same way also they want to achieve aims
What is the problem? They have material and power, they could control intellectually, politically, socially and economically, you became weak in front of these material movements
How can you walk in this side?What does he need? He needs to strong patience, strong doctrine and firm faith to face this battlefield, it isn't necessary to achieve the success directly, but you have to walk in this way regardless of the results
(Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: we believe). So it isn't gustatory matter as if you just believe, but let come to your mind that the basic thing when you declare your faith and you want to enter the kingdom of Al-Islam, you have to be ready for the trial, because it is the practical measure in this universe, it means in another way. This universe has causes and causative matters, and many matters don't move just through causes and causatives, also the believer can't integrate just through trial and test, it means estimation or universal fate that can't escape from it, the present life is full with trials and riots. We mention a matter as lesson, if you want to escape from a place in order to be comfortable in another one, each thing in the present life is trial, each thing in the present life is test
Nineveh is capital of Assyrian state, at that time the Assyrian state extended to wide areas Nineveh was full of statues, idols and luxurious houses. These statues were destroyed by Daesh, these Assyrian civilization, Nineveh this village in which prophet Younus was sent to them, he wanted to get them out from these riots of aberration, and staying on worshiping to the idols, they didn't hear his speech but they mocked on him. The story is known we don't want to tell it but take lesson from it, after their torment approached
What did Younus do?He got out from the city. We said that we don't want to mention the details but take lesson, Younus got out from the city and went to the sea, it is Mediterranean Sea and it was called the big sea at that time, he went to Al-sham and reached to the sea thinking that he will get rid from the problems, he expects that the life after the sea is known to get rid from grief, the reason that it wants to sink the ship …no, but it is the role of Younus to throw himself in the sea, they drew lots and it was the role of Younus to throw himself, he fell in the sea and the whale swallowed him, it is the calamity, he wanted to get rid from the village or from his nation, but he fell in the belly of whale, it is lesson for us otherwise he is infallible, he is in depth of oceans, the whale also swallowed a fish, and the fish was swallowing a fish, it means the universe is full of struggles and contradictories, one lives on another, it means the situation is full of trials
(There is no God except You, Glorified be You, truly I have been wrong doers) Of course wrong doers doesn't mean disobedient, no, the meaning of wrong doer of prophets differs it isn't time to mention it, the trial surrounds the believer completely, there is no vacuum
Al-Imam Al-Hussein in hardest hours of war, he bears Ali Al-Akbar, I always repeat this matter, he bears Ali Al-Akbar. What did he say to him?You had rested from the grief of present life and left your father for its grief -How long did he leave his father?- Minutes or hour, it means hour which is full of trials and tests, so how do you claim the faith or belongingness to the line of prophet family, and you want to be far from this side, so (Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: we believe and will not be tested). The riots are continuous, as long as you entered under the tent of Al-Islam, so prepare yourself to face these riots and trials. You have to be what? As we said, Prepare intellectually and emotionally, also in the speech, and you choose the way that through it you can face enemies of Allah, enemies of humanity. We can summarize this matter as the one who swims against the current -It means you swim against the water current- If you aren't skillful swimmer and you have trained well hence the current will take you to the depth of oceans and die therefore you need to be firm in the faithto face the trials with different types, so the riots and trials are ordained matter on the Muslim ordained matter on the believers as if you have chosen this way so you have to be ready for these trials And do the trials have one shape or many shapes? They have many shapes according to the person
And We indeed tested those who were before you and Allah will certainly make it known the truth of those who are true and will certainly make it known the falsehood of those who are liars
As if the case of trial and riots is not contemporary, fruit of Islamic dimension only, but the nations before you were living this stage, it means nation of Aad and Thamud
Ibrahim , Lut, Isa and Musa, all of them passed in these trials and riots
Don't expect that there is end for this matter and we have to pay attention, it isn't in this age , the age of emigration but it will continue even in the future, it means this trial isn't restricted by the previous age, and in the messenger age at the emigration but it will continue in future and to the Doomsday
What do you think? When the messenger of Allah martyred the riot happened, when Al-Abbas (Messenger's uncle)came to the prince of believers and said to him, Stand to pay homage (by the nation) to you, he said, will they do? He means; pay homage to me, he told him, Yes , he said, where are they from this verse
Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: we believe and will not be tested", never
There is riot and there is difficult matter, but there is riot which the nation fell in it, main and continuous motive, the riot and trials which don't end, the shape changes but the aim is one
Didn't a riot in the occultation of our imam, Al-Imam Al-Mahdi happen in the existence of Ja'far Bin Ali, imam's uncle?How many people turned back and said the proof connected with Ja'far bin Ali even Othman bin Saed Al-Omari wrote to Al-Imam Al-Mahdi about this matter
What did he say in his answer? He said,I seek refuge with God from blindness after clearnessand from aberration after guidance and from the destructive deeds and riots
What did happen to them? Was a letter changed?! Are there speeches and ****s about that? Did they (or we) get out from the religion …? So why is this difference? So the riots and trials are continuous. Who will save from these riots? Who will be saved?Of course the one who has strong belief. Who uses his emotion in obeying Allah
(And Allah will certainly make (it) known ( the truth of those) who are true and Allah will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of those) who are liars), it doesn't mean that Allah doesn't know far be it from Him, and Knew after he saw the truth of those who are true, (the falsehood of those) who are liar, No, but Allah knows the matters before their happening besides to it will happen, but to make each one knows that he is true or liar, it means when he works directly, as if there is deceit in the matter, it means we can't know the liar just after showing his lie. Isn't it? More people are hypocrites. You don't know that they are hypocrites just after seeing their deeds, he was tested more than one time, you see him not true in his deed and intention, also the true
There is important matter
And Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of those) who are true
We said when the liar works it is known that he is liar or hypocrite
What is the benefit of deeds of true? Don't we think in this word? Why does the true need to show his trueness?(And Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of those) who are true) What is the benefit behind this matter? -the benefit behind knowing the liar is clear-
He is liar and admit on himself, and you see him liar and leave him
Allah wants from the believers who were true in their intentions and were true in their deeds and their speeches to show that practically, to be what? In order to look to them to be an example to be guided by them, so where did he go the one who says I don't care, I'm ascetic…
Now is there connection or not? it means Allah wants from you O sincere O true to work publicly. Don't stay in your home
You are sitting at home without grief , what is your benefit to the society? What is your benefit to Al-Imam Al-Mahdi now in the major occultation? Doesn't Al-Imam need to introductions (preparations) that the ignorant is picked up through it and he is taken to the right way? This verse refers to that
Work outside (practically) to make the other see you and do like your deed, and when they see your trueness , maybe, but it is certain that they will follow you, but if you stay in your house , who will know you? Who will follow you?Your trend isn't known
The idea is clear. There is benefit to work publicly, Allah wants to work publicly O true to move in the right way, and make the other moved toward you
we need the reformer and guide in each age and in each stage from stages of the being whether prophet, imam or leader or reformer by any title from these honorable titles. It is impossible that the person integrates and be guided without guide
How do you live the experience?Of course when we said the intellectual matter
How do you live this experience outside or enjoin to good and forbid the wrong? If you didn't know its applications, when do you speak and when do you keep silent? Or which way do you choose, it means if there are titles , each one claims that he is right
Whom will you follow? Do you sit in the house and say, all are in aberration? Or do you choose a way? So the one who wants to live this stage; the stage of thought and emotion and the stage of enjoin the good and forbid the wrong, it should be under the sponsorship of the guide
By the way this matter is useful that's, Allah is Just and He doesn't oppress anyone. He sent the messengers by His justice, or He created imams, and imams made reformers and guardians
Do they leave gap in their absence? What do you say? Or do they fill the stage? -what the believers need to be filled by them- What do you say? I will give you example to illustrate the idea
Did Messenger of Allah show the competence of prince of believers or didn't?He showed it in many situations, it means in the case of death of messenger of Allah
Did he gave a base for the one who will be his successor or not? He did
Why did the nation relapse? Did it relapse or not? It relapsed
when Al-imam Al-Mahdi disappeared; Did Al-Imam Al-Askari become stingy in conveying the picture or illustrate it, and make the sincere know that Al-Imam after him is Al-Imam Al-Mahdi to incline to someone
If he illustrated the matter? It means there should be a reformer
we should pay attention, the reformer, not only in his going away or death or martyrdom. No, sometimes the prophet or the reformer needs to occultation. The occultation of Al-Imam Al-Mahdi is clear, it means as if Al-imam Al-Mahdi went and left vacuum, it means do whatever you want! You want to worship as you like or there are bases which we follow them; bases, even the reformer if he was existent in this field which is narrowerthan the field of Al-Imam Al-Mahdi. He also give instructions in his occultation, you the believers should follow them, it means you have to read and know what the leader wants from you, not to be far from himو and don't know what he wants and what he doesn't want. He absents for one month or two or one year and you do whatever you want without fix base in this side, there should be a being for the leader in the life ofany person who wants to integrate as we said even that the leader absented he gave bases to work on them in his occultation or after his death
(Or think those who do evil deeds that they can outstrips Us). It means overcome us, as if you did evil deeds, and pressure with the largest pressure, as if there are some people who declared their Islam after pressure by Quraish and their relatives and fathers or tyrants, some of those who declared their Islam had disbelieved under the pressure, temptations and threatens even the polytheists, as if they were proud of themselves as if they triumphed even they said we will bear (results of) your evil deeds, if there is evil deed we will bear it, actually it is bringing gradually
What is called? It is bringing gradually and respiting. They serve the believers whether they feel that or not
How do you integrate? If the condition was consistent to you, there are no pressures on you
How do you integrate? How do you recognize between the evil from the good? Knowing the evil and forbidding and facing it is wide door for integration
Through the one whom you deal with it? Through those
Allah gives them increase in their wrong - doing to wander blindly to pay attention to that O believer
There is necessary matter
Is Allah unable to support the prophets and reformers with material forces? It means to extract the treasure of earth, gold and minerals, the birds are gathered for them and Jinn are gathered for them, He makes all natural forces at their service
Can Allah do that or no? So if they were by this ability
Does someone stay far from the faith? He will be through two ways either by intimidation, to fear. He has natural forces, he maybe sit in his house and lies, then jinn come and take him to the prophet or reformer, and tell him why did you do that? Punish him, right or not? Because everything were gathered for him
It maybe that you are in your house and did sin, and they come to you then what will you do, were you compelled or not? Answer me, you were compelled for the faith, it means you are watched even in your loneliness, he uses Jinn or not? Sulaiman (Solomon) used them or not? He used them
If the natural forces were gathered for the reformers, surely they will use these things then can you disobey? Tell me who can disobey? The other party loves this matter
How did he integrate? This is the question
How can I know the disobedient from the obedient? How can I divided the pious from non - pious and so? How can I know that you are true in your faith or not?(The people surround him for their livelihood (benefit), if the people were tested by trial then the religious will decrease). How can I know the one whose religion stay firm from the one whose religion not firm? It is a calamity, the miracle couldn't be on this matter
It means as if we bring a tree so we should plant this seed, we plant this seed and water this seed , there are causative matters, and we need to sunlight, and we need to soil, and we need to slow growth day after daythen the greenness then the fruit. True or not
Do you see one day that you bring a seed then the tree grow quickly?! It is circle of nature universal law
You O believer can't integrate as long as you chose Al-Islam, not only Al-Islam even the previous believers in other missions (religions), it is their habits, as long as you chose the way of prophets, you should walk in way of causes and causative matters, as the seed needs to water, soil and sunlight, you O believer need in your staying and continuation and integrity to trials, trial by trial
Who can get rid from the trial?! So being of polytheist or the enemies of Al-Islam; their being is necessary for your staying and continuation and integrity
Of course it isn't according of compulsion, pay attention please, it isn’t according to compulsionthat’s Allah glory to him compel the other on disobedience, never
(We guided him to the two ways –good and evil- whether he is grateful or ungrateful
He chose the way of aberration by choosing the aberration way he will benefit the believers because they will integrate by it, they will know their faults, they will speak with themselves by courage and facing through it. who is this class? Therefore it isn't victory for the disbelievers or polytheists and defeating for the reformers, neverbut it is the universal law a field of war, and certainly the night must go, these matters don't continue
The continuation and this long in eras and centuries of the time. We need the repetition of these experiences, they integrate in their degradationand also the believer integrate toward their highness and faith and toward the confirmations which Allah wants to be in the persons, they should reach to the end, this degradation should be reach to the end there is their end in it. If Allah wills this end is connected with the blessed appearance
(Or think those who do evil deeds that they can outstrips Us) means we are unable to defeat them
or they believe that they can do anything, never we illustrated this idea
(evil is that which they judge!) It is actual judge and it isn't fact but the fact as we illustrated previously
Praise be to Allah the Lord of all world, and blessings of Allah be upon Mohammed and his family
