افتراضي A wonderful simile

A wonderful simile
Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth, the similitude of His light is as a lustrous niche, wherein is a lamp. The lamp is in a glass. The glass is as it were a glittering star. It is lit from a blessed tree –an olive – neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would well –nigh glow forth even though fire touched it not. Light upon Light! Allah guides to His light whomsoever He will. And Allah sets forth parables to men and Allah knows all things full well) Surah Al-Noor / 35
The Holy Quran mentioned a great example in describing the divine light, it used the following terms in his describing
The niche: to protect the lamp from wind, it usually put on the wall to concentrate the light and to facilitate its reflection
The glass: it means the glass that put on the lamp to keep its flame and to organize the air's entry to increase the light of flame
The lamp: it consists of container for oil and wick
The phrase (it is lit from a blessed tree –an olive – neither of the east nor of the west) refers to the energy that supply the lamp with everlasting fuel
The olive oil exposes to the sunlight from all its sides equally
Hence we can conclude that we need four things to get a strong light from the lamp, it also liken the faith light in the hearts of believers which contain the following elements
The lamp: it is the faith flame in the hearts of believers which lighten the guidance way
The glass: it is the heart of believer that organizes the faith in his self and keeps him from each evil
The niche: it is the chest of believer, in another meaning it is his personality which contain his aware, knowledge and thinking which keep his faith from the dangers
A blessed tree –an olive: it is the divine inspiration which is too pure and chaste; the faith flame of believers is inflamed from God light which lighten the heavens and earth
