Discussion of the phrase "religion is opium of the nations This phrase is for Karl Marx ( the founder of the Communism philosophy ) but his speech is wrong because the opium is an anesthetic material while the religion is not for the following reasons First : the religion urges to the emotion through spreading the justice and mercy in all the world in order to save them from the injustice which they suffered from it for along time Second : finding the emotion that is opposite to the injustice and unjust people in all societies Third : it put laws opposite to the injustice some of them are obliged and some are forbidden , it prevented the person from attacking the others & deny their rights indeed Allah decrees the commands of justice and kindness, and of giving to relatives , and forbids from the shameful and evil and rebellion ; He advises you so that you may pay heed ) Surah Al-Nahl ( the bees Fourth : we see both Communist & capital doctrines had scared from the revolution of the oppressed people and their liberty so they made some measures to prevent such things , the communist and radical countries used the policy of torturing , repressing and frightening while the capital countries distracted their people with money economic problems and sport and licentious programs ….etc. , all these things made the nations unaware for their real problems and basic woes While we don't find these things in the holy religion because these things are forbidden in the religion of our prophet Mohammed But some who belong to Islamic religion have ideas contradict the speech mentioned above like Sufism doctrine but there are laws in our religion refute their idea Source : jurisprudence of ethics / chapter of Al-Jihad / written by Al-Sayed Mohammed Al-Sader
